I’m not a photographer. But, taking photos makes me feel good, that’s all. I don’t capture anybody’s soul and all that crap. That said, I don’t think it’s enough to have excellent technique to shoot good portraits, you need more: first and foremost, even more than seeing, the ability to listen. As someone who matters says, “Portrait is going somewhere together”, and I totally agree.
